In June 2018, Tricon Singapore office expand its business coverage to include the Polymer business with the acquisition of Noble Petchem business group. Five ex Noble’s Polymer team headed by Eric Koh, who himself is a well respected veteran in the industry with close to 30 years experience, joined Tricon Singapore office. Together, they are tasked to take care of the South East Asian Polymer market. The South East Asian economy is touted to be one of the fastest growing region in the World with a total population of 640 million people (and a growing ‘middle class’). Plastics raw materials demand is also growing strongly in most of the industries here. The team will work closely with other Tricon offices to develop and expand the Polymer business in this region over and above the Natpet PP business. Natpet (National Petrochemical Industrial Company) is a Polypropylene producer with a plant located at Yanbu Industrial City on the west coast of Saudi Arabia with a nameplate capacity of 400KT per annum. This plant is producing a wide range of Polypropylene product mix of (Homopolymer, Random & Heterophasic Copolymers) that is suitable for a wide variety of applications.
